We are seeking an energetic, experienced hunter as our Head of Sales & Business Development to help grow the company. We are acknowledged leaders in the Analytics and Data Science arena and we have a great team of best-in-class analysts to translate data into insights and analysis for our clients. We are looking for a talented sales leader who can take our message and proposition to new clients and help identify how we can help them make more of their data.

As Head of Sales and Business Development at Station10 your role will be to drive net new business across all areas of the business (including business targeted at Station10’s 5 pillars: Strategy, Implementation, Insight, Training and Optimisation). You will be responsible for driving new business across all different sectors, including but not limited to: retail, automotive, financial, insurance, media and travel.

Your responsibilities will include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of the strategies will be required to achieve your financial targets, which will be shared as part of the recruitment process. You will be responsible through all steps of the sales process; from identifying new clients, onboarding, and liaising with them through all steps of the new business process to ensure customer success.

As a member of the Senior Leadership team, you will be both an internal and external leader of the organisation, focused on achieving Station10’s revenue targets.  You should have experience of sales in the digital marketing and analytics space, and of working with enterprise-level clients.  Whilst based in London, the role could involve travel across the UK and EMEA.

You will also be expected to understand customer trends and advise on strategic direction and potential new services/growth areas for Station10.  You will be expected to monitor trends in the market and track the results of the new business effort.

Strong interpersonal skills will be needed as your role will involve building relationships with New Business contacts and also working with members of the team at Station10. You will be expected to work closely with the Marketing Executive and the Partner Manager to ensure new business efforts are co-ordinated, well planned and where possible progress through to New Business wins. You will also be expected to represent Station10 at major industry events, conferences and marketing activities, as well as to identify which ones are likely to provide the best return.

Senior Leadership Team Responsibilities

  • As part of the Senior Leadership team you would be involved in strategic planning for Station10, and to lead the sales function to drive business growth

  • You will develop the sales team, including identifying potential future hires and reports, as well as coaching them, and the wider team on consultative selling techniques to achieve success.

  • You will maintain knowledge of the insight and data science marketplace to understand technology trends and evolving client needs and expectations and how Station10 can help to fulfil these.

  • You will own the collective sales strategy for Station10 and work alongside the leadership team to define sales goals, forecasts and targets, and ensure both individual and company objectives are met.

  • You will develop and implement a consistent sales process and define appropriate metrics for pipeline and conversion management, as well as identifying the right tools to make this process as seamless and efficient as possible.

  • You will be involved in the interview process for new recruits, where relevant.

  • You will have line management responsibility for junior members of the team, including carrying out annual reviews and ongoing mentoring through the year.


You will have:

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience overseeing national/regional sales teams

  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, preferably in a consulting-led environment

  • Extensive experience in the insight and data science ecosystem

  • Track record of exceeding sales targets in a high growth, ambitious organization

  • Excellent aptitude for team building, coaching, motivating, strategic thinking, leadership, and sales methodologies

  • Compelling presentation skills with a natural ability to hold strategic conversations at the executive level


  • Basic salary of £80,000 per year, plus a commission-based package.
